I'm Ana, a Brazilian high school senior living in Florida. I grew up in Rio de Janeiro and moved to the United States at 14.

Photography has been one of my main creative interests for years. I enjoy both planned photoshoots, where I can experiment with composition, lighting, and directing subjects, and spontaneous photography. I usually have my camera with me, whether I'm taking graduation portraits for friends, photographing an event, or simply spending time with family.

My interest in visual media also extends to filmmaking and video production. I've worked on short-form social media content, including scripting, filming, and editing videos, participated in YouTube productions, and gained hands-on experience through TV Production classes and a summer program at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

Beyond photography and film, I've always enjoyed exploring different forms of art. I did theater in middle school before moving to chorus, which I've continued throughout high school. Music is a significant part of my life, and I play piano, guitar, and ukulele. I'm bilingual in Portuguese and English, and I've completed four Spanish courses.

I'm also interested in journalism, documentary filmmaking, and the ways media can examine cultural, political, and social issues. Through academic research and creative projects, I've become increasingly interested in how understanding a subject can shape the way its story is told. As I keep developing my skills, I hope to combine photography, filmmaking, journalism, and research.
